In this edit I used a combination of hue/saturation, levels, brightness/contrast and 2 different layers of colour balance. This shows how you can revive/repair an image through the use of simple adjustments in photoshop.

In this edit I experimented using duplicating layers, mirroring them and changing layer opacities. First I made the canvas width twice the size of the image width by using 'image' > 'canvas size' and then entered doubled the width. I then duplicated the image then chose 'edit' > 'transform' > 'flip horizontally', then dragged each layer to either ends.
I then duplicated both layers again, lowered the opacity to 50% and then arranged the position of them. This made the image more abstract which I liked.

This is one of my favourite pieces from my first shoot, I only added noise to this edit. I believe this photo expresses' themes such as abandonment, mystery, and a peer described it as 'spooky'.
To add noise you simple go to 'filter' > 'noise' > 'add noise'.

This piece is a further experiment on one of my other pieces. This time I decided to use six different layers and repositioned them all in a slight direction away from the centre of the image. The opacities used in descending order from the top layer are 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 100%. I made each layer an even difference to keep the change consistent. I feel this worked well alongside zooming in whilst the photo was taken to create a motion affect.

This is me experimenting with an optical flare gfx pack I downloaded off the internet. I placed the image on top of my photo and changed the blend mode to 'screen'. I felt it didn't work too well in this image, but had potential to be experiment with elsewhere.

I tried something different with the editing in this photo. I decided to use a character from a video game I like, and try and blend him onto one of my photos. All I did was cut out the area of the wall that would need to cover the part of the character's body that I wanted to hide. I moved it into a different document and then dragged it back into my photo to make the cut out area into a new layer. The character already had a orange glow coming from the left so I
selected an are around the character to then add a orange photo filter to create the glow coming from round the corner.

This was me experimenting with the smudge tool to create distortion in photoshop. I felt this worked well on some levels but was not suited for landscape photography. Now that I am aware of it's capabilities I am going to experiment with it in portrait shots.

This photo is using a combination of depth of field and 2D white lines to highlight objects in the photo. I felt this worked well, but after later reviewing it I found out it could've been better using the pen tool to create the line as the corners would join up.
I did another edit adding towards the previous one. This time I highlighted all the objects on the table to see how it would look compared to the previous one. I prefer my first version as it singles out only 3 objects on the table. The second versions looks too clustered and you loose the value of the style as it has been done on every object, not a s elected few.

This is me experimenting using the white lines to highlight objects of a previous edit. I felt it didn't have as much impact as the previous piece, but looks especially nice on the bricks, giving it a nice doodle effect.
