For my first shoot I decided to go to an abandoned factory about a forty minute walk from my house. I decided to do a shoot in an abandoned building as it would show emptiness and desertion.
I felt a lot of my photos taken outside were very underexposed. To overcome this on my next shoot I will use a faster shutter speed. I could just change the lighting in photoshop, but I find the less I have to change the colours in photoshop, the better I am at being a photographer. I'd like to get to a stage where photoshop is just a program used to just 'touch up' my photos or create different effects. I feel extensive use of tools in photoshop does take skill to do well, but takes away the skill of the actual photography.
